Andrew originally trained as a teacher of Mathematics at the University of London, Goldsmiths College.
He left teaching in 1977 and entered the Computer Industry as a software engineer with Computer & Data Machines in Dudley.
Computer & Data Machines morphed into Britannia Computers and was eventually absorbed into part of Armstrong Automotive plc.
Andrew was lucky enough to become Managing Director of Britannia Computers Ltd.
Frustrated by the problems of running a 30 employee company during a recession Andrew resigned and returned to his main love of writing software and set forth on a new career as a self employed contract Software Engineer.
In this role Andrew contracted to many prestigious companies including Boots the Chemist, Fame Computers, Focus Solutions, Gyrus Medical and Plessey.
Andrew currently works as the Technical Director of Ariane Medical Systems.
Ariane Medical Systems Ltd design and manufacture a range of therapeutic X-ray machines for the treatment of body cavity cancers.
